lsd/dmt are schizo drugs, coke/amph are psycho drugs. a schizo on psycho drugs experiences a brief expression power max boost, but this is unsustainable and somewhat ineffective (artists or programmers on stims to maximize the work accomplished, but the work is of varying quality). a psycho on schizo drugs experiences a fleeting vision of coherent intersections between layers of reality the way a schizo does, but struggles to integrate (hence the techbro ayahuasca retreats)

absolutely fascinating, and I think you’re 100% on the money here! Techbro ayahuasca retreats is especially poignant. Crucially, I think there’s space for genuine transformation, for a psycho to become “schizopilled” rapidly through these experiences. Though it’s my observation that the majority of psychos will just leverage such things into a Spiritual Ego type thing and flaunt it to gain status (of a new flavor~) amongst their peers.

Psycho parasociality: “if the famous person says the product is good I will believe that”

Schizo parasociality: “because I feel your resonance I am breedable (by you specifically)

GOOD post but I disagree. Luigi was a techbro-adjacent psycho (check his goodreads profile for confirmation) that attempted to dip into the schizo realm in an act of backpain-induced desperation and lost his damn mind in the process.

I’m leaning towards this take…but the post is just so damn good regardless!

I really, really, really hope for the sake of keeping my "dream love" fantasy alive that Luigi is a schizo but I feel (inwardly know) that he like Ghandi and like MLK, but UNLIKE Jesus, is a psycho cosplaying as a schizo because he understands the power of resonance.

Few thoughts -

1. Schizos don’t hire prison consultants. It’s kind of a slap in the face to the whole point of the demonstration. Hiring someone to help you get better accommodations/navigate the system? (Even MLK, who I also think is a psycho, would know not to do that; he wrote as much in letter from birmingham jail). This is a very "psycho" move.

2. I get the feeling he knows how powerful resonance is because he literally wrote an essay about it, focused on how effective it is in mobilizing people especially in the context of Christianity/religion. He talked about its utility in making things happen.

He's a really smart guy, no doubt, and probably respects the shit out of schizos, but i feel he's still a psycho at the end of the day.

Very interesting thoughts!! Thank you for sharing--I'm interested in what sets MLK/Gandhi apart from Jesus in your eyes? One of the main things that pushes Luigi more toward the Schizo end of the spectrum in my eyes is the fact of his lived experience inward battle with back pain. I think a lot of pain sufferers are forced to turn inwards and learn how to manage, cope with, and struggle through the experience of pain and that's very "real".

But of course, there's also the angle that Luigi was an aspiring techbro which is definitely psycho-coded. Super interesting about the essay mentioned, I didn't realize he was tuned in to this stuff! I'm open to him being some vein of Psycho. But that would also leave the question "why?" like why ruin his external life & conditions by going from cushy --> jail? I could see him being much more Psycho-coded with a clear answer to this but the shooting doesn't seem like a means to more money, more power, more women, etc. as would be the case for a more cut-and-dry Psycho.

Thoughts on Ted Kaczynski while we're here? Also, who would you say are some other Schizos?

Your point about pain is really interesting, and I hadn't considered it in the context of Luigi before. I went through a period of chronic pain, combined with the dissolution of a six-year relationship, which fundamentally altered my life. It was a true "dark night of the soul" experience, and I understand how that can lead to inner refinement or a kind of leveling-up and def not a psycho arc.

I'm also open to seeing Luigi as schizo (in fact, I kind of hope for this), and I think your argument adds weight to that theory.

As for "why ruin his life?" This is the central question, right? A psycho would never do something like that, unless they were incredibly intelligent and intuitive, sensing the tide shifting in the War between the psycho and schizo. I think Luigi fits that description. I’ll share his essay with you. He’s deeply aware of these shifts in history, and I think he preemptively positioned himself to align with the coming changes. In other words, he was setting himself up to dominate in a world that favors the schizo mindset (imo the "world" today is a psycho-dominant one).

Regarding famous schizos, I believe they are rare because, as I said, the the world generally rewards the psycho, while it marginalizes the schizo. Schizos were historically more likely to be muses. That said, I think there may be a few notable schizo men who died young, like Tupac. Unfortunately, I fear this is often the fate of famous schizos. I also think Ted Kaczynski might have been a psycho or, at the very least, snapped and became one. I need to put my thoughts together on why - curious on your thoughts on Ted as well

Your dark night of the soul sounds like a definite schizo grinding ground, that pain is some real shit for sure. Here I'd draw a bridge to reformed addicts "finding god" after they hit rock bottom, and I'd also bring in the idea of "post-traumatic growth" which can happen at decent frequency after a traumatic event (contrasted with PTSD/PTSI). I think both post-traumatic conditions are inherently Schizo conditions, along with rising mental health conditions across the board (Normies getting squeezed toward the Schizo side by ever more constricting Psycho policy...?). That's a lotta spitballing lol, but thank you for the inspiration toward certain directions!

I like your characterization of Luigi as a potential Light Yagami -esque figure! Very fun to think about. It could very well bear out that this whole ordeal serves him quite well materially. I could even imagine him going to prison for a while, making connections, and then leveraging them back in the real world. But that would be veering towards fanfiction LOL.

Tupac as Schizo is beautiful. Love that. I think genuine, dyed-in-the-wool Schizos are very rare as well, and definitely blur the line between "True Schizo" and "Schizo-adjacent Normie who is far closer to the Schizo end of the spectrum than most Normies".

I'd also have to put my thoughts together on Ted lol

I haven’t been able to stop thinking of Luigi as a Mishima mirror image for a while. I think this helped me identify the difference…

“You fight and win internal wars” (Mishima never won.)

“He didn’t act as a means to some end. He isn’t bullshitting.“ (Mishima was always performing)
